United Way Golf Outing to Raise Funds For Critical Programs in Monmouth and Ocean Counties
Wall Township, NJ – United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties’ (UWMOC) 2022 Annual Tee-Off presented by Hackensack Meridian Health will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 at Hollywood Golf Club in Deal, NJ. Registration opens at 10:30am with a shotgun start at 12:30pm. Golfers will have the opportunity to hit a hole-in-one on three holes on the course to win two new cars courtesy of Gold Coast Cadillac and Sea Breeze Ford, and a $10,000 cash prize courtesy of Brian and Mary Massey.

United Way Warmest Wishes Coat Drive Wall Township, NJ – United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties (UWMOC) has kicked off its annual Warmest Wishes Coat Drive for local preschool, elementary and middle school children in need. UWMOC is collecting new winter coats in toddler sizes 3T-5T and children’s sizes small – extra-large to be distributed to over 30 local schools throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties. The collection will run through Giving Tuesday on November 30, 2021.

United Way Distributes $70,000 in Grants to 11 Local Organizations
Wall Township, NJ – United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties (UWMOC) launched the UWMOC COVID-19 Recovery Fund in April 2020 to address the unmet needs of people and organizations economically impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. Thanks to generous donations from individuals, corporations and virtual fundraisers, United Way has distributed $70,000 to its partner organizations to aid in our community’s recovery from the pandemic.
EDA extends deadline for small biz grants in Essex, Passaic, Ocean
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority is extending the deadline for businesses in Essex, Passaic and Ocean counties to apply for phase 2 of the Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program through July 8, the EDA announced Tuesday. Business can receive grants of up to $10,000. Money for the grants came from the counties out of their distribution of CARES Act funding.
Brick Chick-fil-A Sets Missing Man Table For POW/MIAs
BRICK – Although not a federal public holiday in the United States, National POW/MIA Recognition Day this year was on September 15. In honor of those prisoners of war and missing men and women, American Legion Brick Memorial Post 348 member Bruce Blaum and Ocean County Department Executive Committee Ray Miller contacted Brick Chick-fil-A owner Ted Reim to ask if they could set up a special POW/MIA table within its busy restaurant. He happily obliged.
