What was your first job as a journalist?
It was back in university when I used to host a Vox pop and gathered student opinions on issues affecting them and their wellbeing on campus.

How is social media changing news?
Fake news spread way too fast like wildfire. However, it makes easier to reach a larger audience, especially when your niche is well-defined.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Ernest Hemingway, J.P Clark
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means everything to me, it is my passion, my peace, and my little to give back to the society.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Via my mail or through my social media DMs. It is mostly preferred to be done during the day.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
These are some of the tools I use Google Docs, Grammarly, Crowdtangle, TinEye, Google Trends/Analytics, Otter, Camera+, BuzzSumo.

Why did you become a journalist?
I have an unflinching desire to always seek the truth and to help educate.

Afrobeat and its growth across the global.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Stay true, find your niche in the field and pursue it with all of your heart.
When's the best time to pitch you?
I prefer pitches via email in the afternoon (between 2pm and 5pm). I always respond to my mail within an hour to two of receiving it. You can also reach me through my DMs across my socials. If emailing, my ideal email length is 2–3 paragraphs and limited follow-up emails are ok. I occasionally check newswires for new story ideas.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
A listicle on DJ Cuppy and her love life.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
To cover an event that ended up taking too long to start.
What's your favorite drink?
Fruit juice with a short of Tequila.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
With friends at a bar arguing about football and music. Or organizing cultural events and carnival.
