For Sunderland, the new year brought some big early successes: two draws at home to City and away at Tottenham. Mind you, given the state of Tottenham at the minute, the latter seems much less impressive. Regardless though, it was a strong start to January, a continuation of the excellent form the Black Cats found themselves in across the latter half of 2025. Unfortunately for the Mackems, despite initially holding up under the squad strain of AFCON, the tournament eventually took its toll.

Buzz, buzz, buzz: Yellowjackets Season Three - A Mixed Bag
First off, this season’s acting was superb, with some truly outstanding performances. Steven Krueger expertly portrayed the demise of Coach Ben; Courtney Eaton did a superb job of Lottie at her most unhinged; but by far the star performer of this season was Sophie Thatcher as Natalie Scattorcio. She had some huge moments: The trial, Killing Ben, and the aftermath of the failed mutiny, to name a few. Her acting brings already intense scenes to new emotional heights – she is immense.

Often, the best way to amp up emotion or tension is simply to drop into the chorus. This was mastered famously by Michael Bay, who ended the first 'Transformers' film by dropping into ‘What I’ve Done’ by Linkin Park. He gets a lot of stick, but this, this is the template for a credit drop.

Forza Horizon 3 arrived in my possession at a pivotal point in my gaming journey. On a new, more powerful console, the realism of the graphics was what first caught my attention. Well, as much as I love to hate this game and it's parent company, I have to admit that this patch has been a definitive success. Somehow within this new focus on realism, nonsense persisted. Pre-patch, FC25 gameplay was – to be polite – a steaming pile of garbage. The game felt new, sure, yet somehow within this new focus on realism, nonsense persisted. For starters, pace as a concept seemed to have been removed from the game entirely.
This week in the Championship: Sunderland go top!
Sunderland continued their fine form, edging out Hull with a 1-0 win on Sunday, leaving them top of the table. There was some controversy due to potential obstruction from the referee during Wilson Isidor’s 50-yard run for the winner, but the Black Cats won’t care, they seem to have found a solid striker in Isidor. Just behind them are Burnley, thanks to their 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.
FC25 Ultimate Team: A 10-hour review
Image Source: YouTube, EA Sports FC This year, the gameplay feels genuinely different, but does that mean it’s good? Short answer – no. A much slower approach to gameplay gave the potential of genuinely satisfying build-up play, but, in true EA fashion, this was but a pipe dream for the player. It just doesn’t feel good, attacking is annoyingly inconsistent, and defending is potentially the most frustrating it has ever been, especially with an all time high of animation issues and glitches.
