Abstract The EU has a highly centralised, potentially powerful instrument for enforcement: the European Commission can instigate infringement procedures against member states that violate EU policies. ABSTRACT In the 2019 European Parliament elections, Eurosceptic parties were able to consolidate their strong results from 2014. Based on a specified conceptualization of Euroscepticism, this article provides an overview of the Eurosceptic vote and argues that Eurosceptic parties have by now established themselves as a fixed part of the EU party system.
