Blancpain Bathyscaphe Complete Calendar
Does anyone own a Blancpain Bathyscaphe Complete Calendar? If so, could you comment on how you like it? I find the watch intriguing but also somewhat silly. I like the looks of it and the idea of a complete calendar, but putting this in a dive watch seems novel.
SLGA023 Diver
Does anyone own an SLGA023 diver, and if so could you give me a long term review? In particular, how do you like the clasp and are there any good 23mm straps available?
I tried in High End Watches, maybe this is a better forum? Does anyone have a Glasshutte Original Senator Chronograph? If so, could you share why you choose it over other choices and how it is to live with day to day? While looking for something else, I can across the black dial version and it is now stuck in my head.

Retrograde Complications?
Prompted by the recent discussion of tourbillons and labor intensive complication, and by seeing the new Habring dead seconds regulator: I am wondering are all complications equal? I have to think that all retrograde complications must just be a cam and a spring. Is any kind of jump movement inherently more fragile? Is the impulse to do dead (jump) seconds harder on the materials than three, four, five beats per second?
Polaris Owners?
Are they any long term, semi-long term, Polaris owners that could give an opinion? I am hoping to hear from someone that has worn one day to day for while that can give me a sense what it is like to wear/own.
Is the Aqua Terra crystal normally this reflective?
Below is my newly acquired Aqua Terra (220.23.38.20.03.001). I noticed the crystal on it is pretty reflective—which surprised me because my speedy 3861, which I understand doesn’t have double AR coating, is far less reflective. It’s to the point where you can see yourself in it when you look at it under certain lighting. Hoping to gather your thoughts on whether this is normal.
Glashutte Seventies Pano?
#1 · I am wondering if anyone has a Glashutte Pano, not the chronograph version, and has an opinion of the watch? I think it looks like an interesting watch, but as far as I can tell it's no longer in the GO catalog and I don't see a lot of them for sale. Just not a popular model? Sort by #2 · It was discontinued a while ago, which is frequently lamented here. It is a good looking watch. #3 · Yes, I own one.

Let's talk about Oris
Oris as a brand is quite varied. Some models are pretty impressive, sport in-house movements and cool innovations. But bulk of their line-up is positioned right around lower-entry level swiss luxury. Maybe a step above Hamilton\Tissot, but overall below Longines, Tag Heuer and Tudor. That said, I do like the breadth of their range. The new Rectangular line is very fun and certainly interesting as a way to get into rectangular watches without dropping Cartier Tank or JLC Reverso level money.
An odd couple - One new and one, not so new (old) :-)
#1 · Ever since the arrival of the new White Dial Speedmaster, I have been rocking it mostly on the rubber while my 3590.50 has taken over the newer style bracelet. Both fit wonderfully, charming to wear and taking up most of the wrist time. Have a great one ahead to all here See less See more Sort by #2 · Love the new white dial 👍🏻 #3 · #4 · Looks like the perfect pair.
GO Seaq Pano date vs PO?
Hey @OmegaGuySD I am someone who fits that bill. My PO was on bracelet and my SeaQ was on canvas, so it wasn’t 100% even for comparison. The SeaQ was without a doubt the more beautiful watch. The finishing on it is astonishing. The PO was probably 90% there and when I wore the PO I didnt feel like I was missing out on anything. My SeaQ wore better than my PO partially because of the canvas strap. That strap was awesome and the bracelet never looked right to me.
Daylight Savings
Jump hour is such a nice thing at daylight savings time, strangely satisfying to jump the hour ahead so simply. On the other hand, it is such a pain when you need to adjust the date on all the short months!
Speedmaster Chronograph reset question
I was looking a a Speedmaster with a 9300 movement, the chronograph hand didn't quite reset to 12. Can anyone give me some advice on this? Is this a common problem? Do it show something about the movement or history? Any fix other than living with it or sending it for service?
High End Nylon Strap?
Does anyone know who makes the Glashutte Original nylon straps? Or an equivalent nylon strap? There are lots of cheap straps but I haven't seen something of that quality, but I don't want to pay $350 for a Glashutte Original one.
pre-owned advice/question
Joined 16 d ago · 87 Posts Discussion Starter · #1 · a moment ago I am hoping someone can give me some advice based on previous experience. Basically I am try to understand the value of documentation on a pre-owned watch. I am looking at three different used watches from two different vendors. I know the mantra about "buy the seller, not the watch". Both of the sellers are major players, so I are relatively sure the watches are authentic. My questions are more about service.
Skyflake - long term opinions?
I have been looking at a Grand Seiko Skyflake and looking for an opinion from some one that has owned one for a while. I like the dial, but just not sure if I will feel the same after six months looking at it everyday? I typically wear a divers style watch but looking for something a little dressier and easy to wear with a dress shirt now that I am back in the office.
