What was your first job as a journalist?
It was for a very short-lived music and film magazine called Zero, which the whole staff quit after two issues.

I helped to save a famous video shop in Bristol from closing down by writing a feature about it for the Guardian.

Pitch features; don't ask to be a reviewer. Find stories to tell and cool ways to tell them.

'Please cover this tie-in graphic novel. It's significant because it's the first time Danny Dyer has ever appeared on the cover of a book.'
