Not for professional use. I was raised on PCs.
How is social media changing news?
It's allowing niche journalists to reach specific audiences. I interact with contacts on FB and LinkedIn all the time.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email, Facebook or LinkedIn message describing something interesting and newsworthy. I don't respond to messages just saying hi.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
LexisNexis, Google, Paper.li, Wordpress, notepad and pen.
What's your favorite social network?
I use Facebook and LinkedIn the most.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Find your niche, know your resources and publications, and pitch your heart out.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Between 6AM and Noon EST.
What's your favorite drink?
Dry red wine on occasion. I prefer cannabis to alcohol, though.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That people who write about cannabis are not serious. Some aren't. Others are journalists.
