Pa Modou Cham is an award-winning senior Gambian journalist with over 10 years of experience in the media industry. Known for his versatility and dedication, Cham has built a distinguished career across print, radio, television, and film.
He began his journey as an English news presenter for Sen FM Radio before transitioning to print journalism as a senior reporter with The Monitor Newspaper. Cham later served as a senior reporter and sub-editor for The Point Newspaper, where he played an instrumental role in shaping its editorial direction. Today, he is a freelance journalist contributing to various reputable media outlets and the Editor-in-Chief of CTV Africa, where his impactful stories continue to inform and inspire audiences. He is also the Information and Communication Officer of the African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies (ACDHRS) and works as a part-time trainer in Digital Media.
Cham’s extensive expertise spans investigative reporting, news writing, content production, and editorial leadership. He has also demonstrated exceptional storytelling abilities in the Gambian film industry as the Director, Writer, and Producer at Gamstars Movie Production. Through his diverse roles, he has mastered the art of crafting compelling narratives that resonate with a wide audience.
