Their remarks followed news that the Thai House of Representatives voted on Dec. 2 to set up a 60-member "special committee" to investigate the possibility of legalizing casinos in Thailand. But Mr. Boothman, GMA's partner and head of government affairs, was wary of excessive optimism after an earlier signal that Thailand could enact laws for casino operations.
