Bimetal Metaphosphate/Molybdenum Oxide Heterostructure Nanowires for Boosting Overall Freshwater/Seawater Splitting at High Current Densities
1 Introduction With the rapid increment of energy consumption and environmental problems, hydrogen (H2), which serves as renewable-green energy, has been considered an ideal substitute for fossil fuel.
Octahedral CoS2 electrocatalyst for efficient nitrate reduction to ammonia
Octahedral CoS2 electrocatalyst for efficient nitrate reduction to ammonia Electroreduction of nitrate (NO3-) has emerged as a promising strategy for producing ammonia (NH3) at room temperature in recent years; however, the formation of NO2- intermediate byproduct seriously limits the conversion efficiency of NO3- to NH3.
Boosting Oxygen Reduction Reaction with Metal Phthalocyanines: Altering Central Metals and Substituents
Boosting Oxygen Reduction Reaction with Metal Phthalocyanines: Altering Central Metals and Substituents Metal phthalocyanines (MPcs), as non-precious metal catalysts, have shown great promise in catalyzing the Oxygen Reduction Reaction (ORR). However, understanding their electronic structures during ORR and their impact on catalytic performance is still limited.
Asymmetric Electron Occupation of Transition Metals for Oxygen Evolution Reaction via Ligand-Metal Synergistic Strategy
Asymmetric Electron Occupation of Transition Metals for Oxygen Evolution Reaction via Ligand-Metal Synergistic Strategy The performance of electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction (OER) of the two-dimensional transition-metal (oxy)hydroxides (TMOOHs), as well as their large-scale practical applications, are severely limited by the sluggish kinetics of the OER four-electron process.

Tlr9 deficiency in B cells leads to obesity by promoting inflammation and gut dysbiosis - Nature Communications Original
Abstract Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) recognizes bacterial, viral and self DNA and play an important role in immunity and inflammation. However, the role of TLR9 in obesity is less well-studied. Here, we generate B-cell-specific Tlr9-deficient (Tlr9fl/fl/Cd19Cre+/-, KO) B6 mice and model obesity using a high-fat diet. Compared with control mice, B-cell-specific-Tlr9-deficient mice exhibited increased fat tissue inflammation, weight gain, and impaired glucose and insulin tolerance.
