Plastoglobules compartmentalize nitrogen assimilation in maize
Abstract Efficient nitrogen assimilation is important for sustainable agriculture1, yet its subcellular organization remains unknown. Here we show that plastoglobules (PGs) in the chloroplasts of mesophyll cells function as a metabolic hub that orchestrates nitrogen utilization in maize. Nitrogen-responsive dynamics of PGs represent a conserved feature across plant species.
ESWT attenuates compressive stress-induced cartilaginous endplate degeneration via modulation of the SOST/Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway
Abstract Introduction: Cartilaginous endplate (CEP) degeneration is a critical contributor to intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD) and is frequently induced by sustained compressive stress. Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) has shown therapeutic potential in promoting disc repair; however, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear.

Atom-pair engineering of single-atom nanozyme for boosting peroxidase-like activity - Nature Communications
Abstract Constructing atom-pair engineering and improving the activity of metal single-atom nanozyme (SAzyme) is significant but challenging. Herein, we design the atom-pair engineering of Zn-SA/CNCl SAzyme by simultaneously constructing Zn-N4 sites as catalytic sites and Zn-N4Cl1 sites as catalytic regulator.

In-situ implanting MnO nanoparticles into nanorod-assembled carbon microspheres enables performance-enhanced room-temperature Na-S batteries Xiang Long Huang, Pan Xiang, Hanwen Liu, Chi Feng, Shao-Hui Zhang, Ziqi Tian, Hua Kun Liu, Shi Xue Dou and Zhiming Wang Abstract The accomplishment of high-performance room-temperature sodium-sulfur (RT Na-S) batteries necessitates multifunctional sulfur electrodes via decent materials design strategies, since they are suffering from a series of critical...
Functional terpyridyl iron complexes for in vivo photoacoustic imaging
Functional terpyridyl iron complexes for in vivo photoacoustic imaging Photoacoustic (PA) imaging has received extensive attention in the last decade owing to its ultra-high resolution in deep tissue penetration. However, designing functional PA probes with tunable molecular structure at low cost remains a significant challenge. Herein, we have rationally designed three triple-pyridyl iron complexes with different water solubility.
