After years of declining player effort and viewership, the NBA is about to make changes in the All-Star Game. According to Shams Charania from ESPN, the league will implement a new four-team format in the All-Star Weekend's premier event. Four teams of eight players will compete in a two-stage elimination mini-tournament. For example, Team 1 would play against Team 3, while Team 2 would play against Team 4, and the winner of the two matchups would play in the final.
