Synergistic enhancement of recycled aggregate concrete using cement slurry-treated aggregates and graphite nano/micro platelets
Abstract The use of recycled coarse aggregates (RCA) in concrete is an effective strategy for reducing construction and demolition waste; however, their inferior quality often leads to reduced mechanical and durability performance. This study investigates the synergistic effects of cement slurry-treated RCA and graphite nano/micro platelets (GNMPs) on the fresh, mechanical, durability, and microstructural properties of concrete.
Cost-effective FRP solutions for enhancing strength and strain of sustainable concrete made with waste tyre rubber
Abstract This study investigates the compressive behavior and analytical modeling of natural and rubberized concretes confined with cost-effective glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) jackets. Forty-two cylindrical specimens were tested under axial compression, including natural aggregate concrete (NAC) and rubberized concretes (RuC) prepared with 20% fine aggregate replacement using coarse (2.0 mm) and fine (0.425 mm) waste tire rubber.

Influence of Recycled Plastic Incorporation as Coarse Aggregates on Concrete Properties
Abstract : Plastic waste has increased significantly in recent years as a result of fast population growth and urbanization. Studies on the incorporation of plastic aggregates as a substitution for natural aggregates in concrete are needed to successfully reduce both adverse environmental impact and the depletion of natural resources. The objective of this research was to investigate the use of plastic as a partial substitution for natural coarse aggregates in concrete.
