What was your first job as a journalist?

I was editor of Campus Canada magazine, aimed at university and college students.

Social media allows news to travel at lightning speed.

Why did you become a journalist?

I love to write. I've been curious all my life, always asking questions and wanting to find out the truth. It was a natural career choice.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes. I was a writer.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Be honest. Do research. Work hard. Don't expect to be successful without paying your dues.
