LTE: Do unborn Black lives matter?
The president and CEO of Keystone Planned Parenthood recently (on April 28) lamented how abortion bans would disproportionately harm Black, indigenous and people of color. Ms. Reed needs to avail herself of Planned Parenthood’s founder Margaret Sanger, an avowed racist and eugenicist, who crafted “The Negro Project” in 1938, specifically attempting to limit the Black race through sterilization.
Trump delivered on his vaccine promise
As we continue to bathe in the light of Christmas and profess gratitude for God sending his son to save us, we should also take a moment to thank President Trump and his team for delivering the vaccine by the end of the year. Many of us were put off by his enormous ego and remarks and tweets. But we cannot deny that he made promises and, for the most part, kept them. Decimating ISIS; moving the embassy in Israel to Jerusalem; and keeping us out of war with North Korea are just a few.

On January 27, 2017, the Department of Defense (DoD) issued an updated Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) regarding the application and requirements of DFARS 252.204.7012 Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting. Though questions remain regarding various nuances of the rule, the FAQ is a helpful document for those contractors still working on implementation of DFARS 252.204.7012.
Letter: Event center plan is wish list, not a business plan
Please consider the recent purchases of the bowling alley and trailer park by Kittitas County when casting votes for county commissioner. The cost of purchasing these properties has been $2 million, so far. That works out to $50 for each resident of the county and at present neither property has been improved to serve its intended purpose. These properties are now owned by the county and no property taxes will be collected in the future. Those taxes were about $40,000 annually.
McCain-Feingold Opens “Soft Money” Campaign Finance Loophole In the States : “When One Door Closes . . .”
A recent settlement between the Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance (OCPF) and Massachusetts Republican Party may highlight an emerging trend: state parties using federal preemption to avoid strict state campaign finance laws. At issue was whether the Massachusetts Republican Party could use funds from its federal campaign account to pay for staff and overhead expenses of Party employees who were working largely or exclusively on state races.

I am writing to ask you to vote yes on Proposition 1 and support public transit. Public transit has a long history in America. In fact, the original name of the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1891 was “Trolley Dodgers”, a name they acquired from the maze of trolleys that ran through Brooklyn. You can’t get much more American than baseball, well maybe apple pie and mom. Story continues below video If Proposition 1 passes, Central Transit will expand services and routes.

The Camel with Two Humps: America Needs a Parliament
Last night Americans went to the polls to vote in midterm elections. The predictable results followed. One by one, Republicans won enough Senate seats to become the majority, as well as picking up over 25 seats in the House. In typical liberal fashion, we lamented on Facebook and promised to mve to neighboring states. But these elections don’t matter and it has to do with more than Republicans being obstinate.
