Patrick Dwyer is a finance professional and the founder of the Dwyer Family Foundation.
Patrick earned his bachelors degree from Providence college with a degree in History and a minor in Business. Following graduation, he enrolled at the University of Miami. Here, he obtained a Master’s of Business Administration.
He then took a job at Merrill Lynch as a Private Wealth Advisor. He remained here for 26 years. During his tenure, he built the fourth largest private wealth team at the company. The team had 11 members and managed $3.8 billion in assets.
Growing up with this spirit of generosity continuously showcased to him inspired Patrick to want to provide for his community in the same way. This is what encouraged him to start the Dwyer Family Foundation.
The Dwyer Family Foundation is not the only way that Patrick Dwyer supports his community. He also serves as a leader for a number of charitable organizations in his area. He sits on Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami’s Board of Trustees. He serves as a governing board director for both the Neuroscience Centers of Florida Foundation and Telluride Science Research Center. In addition to these positions, he is also an avid supporter of the Key Biscayne Community Foundation. This foundation organizes philanthropic endeavors throughout the region of South Florida.
