Paul Daugerdas’s Biography
Paul Daugerdas has had an illustrious professional journey, having held significant positions in esteemed financial and legal accounting organizations. His career commenced as an Arthur Andersen & Co. staff member, gradually progressing to manager roles and ultimately partner in 1984. From 1974 to 1994, he played diverse and vital roles within the organization, including being a member of the Mergers, Acquisitions & Reorganizations Tax Specialty Team, specializing in M&A matters. As the Head of the Central Region Financial Markets Team, he provided oversight to tax and audit personnel responsible for managing various financial instruments and products, including commodities, futures, stocks, bonds, swaps, and various over-the-counter financial instruments. Furthermore, he served as the head of the Chicago Office "On Call" Team. He contributed as a Financial Valuation Services Specialty Team member throughout his tenure at Arthur Andersen & Co.
In 1994, Daugerdas joined the Law Offices of Altheimer & Gray as a partner, taking on the pivotal role of Head of the Tax Department and actively participating in the Steering Committee. Subsequently, from 1999 to 2002, he assumed the role of Shareholder/Partner at the Law Offices of Jenkens & Gilchrist, where he skillfully managed the Chicago office and co-directed the Tax Practice. He also made valuable contributions as a member of the Management Advisory Committee during his tenure at Jenkens & Gilchrist, showcasing his exceptional business acumen.
