Yep and when I started in Journalism you telephoned your stories in... Point, Paragraph!!
How is social media changing news?
Social media is rapacious and needs constant feeding. Not good for truth, veracity or quality.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Josie Geller (Drew Barrrymore character in the film, 'Never been Kissed')
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To be Unswerving. Unremitting. Honest. Authentic. True, to You and the Story
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
#fakenews & I'm being ironic. As professionals it's incumbent on us to seek out & preserve fact-based truth. Not everything is a conspiracy!
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Just keep the thing the thing and start

Just a laptop, the internet and ma tete

I am blessed to have a lot of high profile followers, but the 'one' would be my mother - sadly she's now passed on
Why did you become a journalist?
I couldn't stop writing and I needed to make sense of things. I still do and it drives everyone who loves me crazy
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I went to High School a very long time ago and we didn't have a school newspaper. Straight after school though I was employed as a Journalist
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My book, 'Uncovering Mindfulness' - It's the little big book of Mindfulness - From Hegel to Van Morrison & much much more
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
To be You. Unswerving. Unremitting. Honest. Authentic. True to Yourself and the Story.

Anytime
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Working for the European Commission to sort out some very complex stuff and make it less complex
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
A run of UK Government Select Committee papers - Not much wiggle room for levity
What's your favorite drink?
Brandy & Champagne
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
On the Go - With the kids, in the kitchen cooking, in the gym sweating, walking and talking

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
I can't possibly be as old as I am. LOL!
