It's a new life as generalist for me compared to my previous deep dives on the insurance industry - 2 1/2 years as lead correspondent based in London - and before that 4 years covering credit markets, especially derivatives and the infamous alphabet soup of CDOs, ABSs, SIVs and so on. That was '05 - '09 and it was one hell of a ride.
