They’d updated their dev environment to support WebSockets, so that Neon’s serverless driver could be used there, but then they’d run into a weird issue. The nub of it was this: This hangs: const { rows } = await sql`SELECT * FROM pokemon ORDER BY random() LIMIT 10`; This works const { rows } = await sql`SELECT * FROM pokemon LIMIT 10`; Reproducibly, the query without an ORDER BY ran fine every time.
