British victims of an airline crash in Ethiopia where all 157 passengers and crew on board died, including 25-year-old humanitarian Sam Pegram from Pentwortham, were "unlawfully killed", a coroner has concluded. The finding comes four years after Ethiopian Airlines ET302 crashed en route from Addis Ababa to Nairobi on March 10 2019, killing humanitarian workers Sam, Oliver Vick, 45, and sustainability campaigner Joanna Toole, 36, among others.

The family of Penwortham man Sam Pegram, who was killed in an Ethiopian Airlines 737 Max 8 crash in 2019, are seeking a verdict of unlawful killing from an inquest into his death they have waited more than four years for. Sam, 25, was among 157 passengers and crew killed when the Boeing jet he was travelling on fell from the skies just six minutes after take off from Addis Ababa on March 10, 2019.
