Pedro Pizano’s Biography
Pedro Pizano holds the position of Strategy and Development Associate at the Human Rights Foundation (HRF), and Global Media Liaison for HRF’s annual conference, the Oslo Freedom Forum. HRF is a nonprofit nonpartisan organization that promotes and protects human rights globally, with an expertise in the Americas. Its flagship annual event, the Oslo Freedom Forum, has been hailed by The Economist as a “spectacular human-rights festival... on its way to becoming a human-rights equivalent of the Davos economic forum.” Before coming to HRF Pedro interned at the Association De La Press Étrangère in Paris, France. He also interned at the premier training program for immigrant journalists in the United States called Feetin2Worlds, based off the New School in New York. He founded and led a cultural magazine and a radio station at his home university, Universidad de los Andes, in Bogotá, Colombia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Music, Journalism and French from Boston University.
