What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means listening, speaking, writing and connecting. It means taking risks, inspiring, sharing what needs to be shared, almost always finding compassion and loving [almost] every second of what we do.

Why did you become a journalist?
I love that journalist incorporates storytelling, collaboration, and media. I love talking to people, I love putting myself in someone else’s shoes, and I love to write. To me, journalism is all about untold stories.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Good journalism is stories that engage. From cats stuck in trees to front page news, if you don't care about what you write, why should anyone else?
