Now happily stuck in to MTB media, I've spent time in pro sports (NHL: Vancouver Canucks, and MLS: Vancouver Whitecaps) in sponsorship roles, as well as bike industry marketing roles (Ritchey/Syncros, Rocky Mountain).

As a partner at NSMB, I don't get to spend all my time writing, unfortunately, but the hybridized nature of my publisher role lets me do a lot of everything. I love gear, I love outdoor sports culture, and I especially love the people in this industry. As time goes on, satisfaction comes more from finding the things that just work well, rather than the newest stuff, even though that drives the business. You don't remember gear, you remember moments, gear just helps you create more and better moments. Maybe.
