PEL: Lakers Blue finishes turnaround for the ages, SDP's Klin named MVP
Generally, starting a season with five consecutive losses doesn’t bode well for the rest of a team’s journey together. As losses mount, tensions arise. Blame gets passed around, even while competing within a truncated schedule of offseason hockey. But perhaps Lakers Blue is the exception rather than the rule. One of two Lakers teams competing in the Prep Elite League, Lakers Blue stumbled to five straight defeats to start the PEL season.

Not Memory Lane: Minnesotans succeeding in the WHL & USHL
With the universally beloved Joe Ojanen on hiatus this week, our usual Monday programming of “Memory Lane” is paused. I am officially cowboying YHH’s Monday publishing schedule. I love that verb. It brings me back to a simpler time when I was infatuated with John (real name Marion) Wayne and his movie “Rio Lobo”, which I find to be underrated and unfairly derided as “bland” and “useless” by internet dorks who wouldn’t last FIVE MINUTES in a gunfight.

Prep Elite League: Weekend 2 Players to Watch
Blue Army John O’Shea O’Shea’s statistical output during the opening Prep Elite League weekend won’t turn many heads, with two assists in Blue Army’s first three games of the PEL season. However, it’s the way O’Shea goes about his business in the offensive zone that adds a jolt to an offseason game on a weekend morning.
