Peter Schwartzstein’s Biography
I’m a British-American journalist based in Cairo, but am often found muckraking elsewhere in the Middle East and North Africa.
Before making the move to hotter climes in early 2013, I worked for Reuters in London for a bit, where I covered utterly indispensable breaking news stories such as the ash tree blight, culling of badgers, spying submariners and the fortunes of East End micro-brewers. A stint on the macro-economics desk knocked into me a vague understanding as to how the financial markets work.
