STANDING TALL AT 60: Honouring Sufuyan Ojeifo — The Wordsmith, The Custodian of Memory, The Master of Language, By Owen Obaseki
I first met Sufuyan Ojeifo on the page. Not in a room, not across a table — but in the quiet authority of his prose. There was an elegance to his writing that stopped you. A reverence. The way he honoured greatness without flattery, and etched legacies into language so that time could not erase them.
CELEBRATING SUFUYAN OJEIFO @ 60: A Pen Tempered by Character, By Paul Mumeh
Sufuyan Ojeifo: the celebrator thanking God for His goodness... There are journalists, and then there are journalists who become institutions. Sufuyan Ojeifo unarguably belongs unmistakably to the latter. As he turns 60, my mind journeys back to the early 1990s in the ancient city of Benin, where our paths first crossed. He was the The Punch correspondent; I was with the old Daily Times of Nigeria Plc. We were young, ambitious, and driven by an unquenchable passion for journalism.
SUFUYAN OJEIFO @ 60: Celebrating the “Cicero of Journalism”, By Dr Philip Ugbodaga
My first encounter with Sufuyan Ojeifo was in December 2018. At the time, I neither knew him personally nor had the privilege of meeting him. Preparatory to the 7th January 2019 birthday of the late Edo-born industrialist and philanthropist, Captain Hosa Okunbo, my Non-Governmental Organisation, the Health Support Initiative (HSI), had organised a free medical outreach in December 2018 in his honour.

Statement by the Network of Ministerial Aides (NETMA) on the call for the formation of an interim government in Nigeria and a plea to opposition candidates to stop delegitimizing APC presidential victory
Democracy is a system of govt by which political power is vested in the people, that is the electorate. One of the pillars of democracy is the acceptance that whereas the the minority will have it’s say, the majority will have it’s way. Although this concept of democracy is imperfect as it tends to entrench majoritarian rule, it remains the most widely accepted foundation for electoral democracy. In this way, democracy is a combination of the people and not just a majoritarian philosophy.
Revealed: The Nativity Of Oshiomhole By Dr. Philip Ugbodaga
Revealed: The Nativity Of Oshiomhole By Dr. Philip Ugbodaga There are several cryptic, apocryphal, and tenebrous problems about the historical and archival variable, yet persistent beliefs about the significance of birth or nativity, in particular about the connections through both birth to particular biologically related persons – parents and offspring – and birth in a specific locality. These are beliefs about the creation and transmission of life.
Desmond Tutu: South Africa Voice Of Justice Goes Home -By Dr Philip Ugbodaga
Being a priest has always required great courage as only a courageous heart is able to respond to God’s radical invitation to follow him unreservedly as a priest. Tutu was courageous in challenging the apartheid regime in South Africa and also performing his role as a religious leader. Archbishop Desmond Tutu who passed on a few days ago was 90 years old and lived a very fulfilled life doing almost everything that he set out to do, from the religious to the liberation struggle.
