What was your first job as a journalist?
My first job was an online internship for a fashion blog. I created content, round ups, travel guides, and more.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes! I owned a small portable 8 lb typewriter! I loved writing on it.
How is social media changing news?
We are more focused on individual's experiences than on newsrooms or outlets. Individuals have more consideration and are in the conversation
What's your favorite social network?
Instagram.
Who do you wish followed you?
I wish a pod of dolphins followed me.
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist to inspire and uplift people, join people through travel, to use my voice to create meaningful content for people.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I am most proud of a list of 10 women in the UAE working on climate change. Women create so many ways to address climate change.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Mind mentors in the field if you can. It'll help you a lot. The more help you receive, the more supported you will feel.

9am-12pm Pacific Standard Time.
What's your favorite drink?
Pina Colada
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I am most likely to be in the dance studio, gym, or paddle boarding at the river.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The most common misperception is that you travel all the time for vacation. I'm working when I travel, but it's fun work!
