Discovery and quantification of novel diazepam metabolites BP-246 and BP-271 in freshwater fish using HRMS and UPLC-MS/MS
Abstract Diazepam, commonly used in freshwater fish transport and aquaculture, poses potential food safety and public health risks due to its residues and metabolites. However, current monitoring efforts primarily focus on the parent drug and its major metabolites, leaving potential toxic transformation products uncharacterized.

An Occurrence and Exposure Assessment of Paralytic Shellfish Toxins from Shellfish in Zhejiang Province, China
2. Results 2.1. PST Components in Zhejiang Province The detection rate of PSTs in the samples was 7.0% (38/546 samples). Of these positive samples, 47.4% (18/38) were contaminated with two or more toxins, with a maximum of five types of PSTs contaminating Scapharca subcrenata at the same time. Eight types of PSTs were detected in the shellfish samples: STX, neoSTX, dcGTX3, dcGTX2, GTX3, dcSTX, GTX2, and GTX5. 3.4. Risk Assessment From the dietary exposure results on the analyzed vegetable oils, the risks of exposure to BaP, PAH2, PAH4, and PAH8 were characterized by calculating the MOEs, and that of PAH15 was characterized by calculating the ILCR for China. The MOEs of the age/gender groups were performed through the mean and P95 estimates of dietary exposure to BaP, PAH2, PAH4, and PAH8 by Equation (3) (Table 7).
