I usually shoot toys on the street inspired by the moment. This time, I drew inspiration from songs and found just the right spots around the city. I also learned local music history and made new friends along the way. For the past 10 years I’ve photographed toys with my iPhone, creating the illusion that they are larger than they actually are through a technique known as forced perspective. Shot in just the right location and juxtaposed with insightful quotations, the photos turn into stories.
