Affordable quality fashion watches: Do they exist? (rant)
I've seen some pretty amazing looking fashion watches made by Structure ($30) or even no-name brands that I would love to own IF they were a little better quality. The main things I am looking for are (1) minimal WR such as 30M, and (2) thick crystal. When I pick up one of these watches with amazing designs and overall appearance, I am always disappointed by this fact. They are not water resistant at all, and when I tap the crystal with my fingernail I can tell how thin it sounds.
Outstanding accuracy from Citizen Ecodrive!
#1 · I was given a Citizen Ecodrive Moonphase for my birthday almost eight years ago. I've noticed that it's accurate but decided to put it to the test. Three months ago I synchronized it perfectly with the atomic clock. After three months it is exactly two seconds fast. Are other ecodrive owners getting similar accuracy from their watches? #2 · I bought this last spring for about $12 on clearance. The leather band came from a cheap department store watch I wore about 30 years ago. I don't know why I saved it when the watch went kaput, but it came in handy in the end! #3 · #4 · Purchased back in 1982 /83 around Christmas so I don't remember which year, I think they were 39.99 back then.

#13 · Oct 10, 2016 Been waiting to have a good excuse to break this one out. Highlight of my Disneyland trip was to pick up one of these. This guy was only $30 IIRC, has a very cool applied, 3D effect for the Mickey graphic, domed crystal, drilled lugs, and pretty nice laser etched caseback. I have matching Donald one that I wear more often.
