Evan Rosant (14) decided to apply for this programme because he wants to expose what residents of Scottsville have normalised.

Netwerk24 — Kraaifontein has become a war zone in the past few weeks due to ongoing violent protests following the removal of illegal land invaders the on vacant land next to the Tygerberg Raceway in Bloekombos. Pressure group movement Gatvol Capetonian, which has organised several shutdown protests across the City in the past, says actions taken by residents could have been long avoided. Mayco member for human settlements Malusi Booi says the Bloekombos land invasions have posed a threat to the R110 million Maroela Road Housing Project.

Alex News — Two children died on 23 November after being electrocuted by an electricity box which was not properly connected. Thabani Mthetho, who first saw the deceased, explained that he was going to his residence when he saw them lying on the ground and called for help.

Rekord East — The sheriff of the court attached furniture from the Tshwane metro's offices on Tuesday, apparently for failing to pay a debt of more than R400 000. Notice to clear the debt within two weeks was given to the metro to avoid its possessions from being auctioned off, said a source who spoke on the condition of anonymity to Rekord.
