Social media is a catalyst and is a medium through which most people consume news these days. Every journalist should know how to use it.

Why did you become a journalist?
To be the voice I didn't have growing up
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I wrote articles and handled the social media [for one week] Islington Now, a student-newspaper at City, University of London.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My feature on the difficulties women with young-onset Parkinson's Disease face in their lives.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be curious. My favourite quote is: "Curiosity killed the cat, but the lack of curiosity killed the reporter."

Between 9 am to 11 am

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That you need a specialist to cover it. Anyone with a basic knowledge [and passion] can do it!
