1 Introduction Active matter is defined by the nonlinear conversion of free energy on the molecular scale into macroscopic dynamics:[1] these nonlinear dynamics pose a challenge to the control of active agents, as small changes in system parameters can crucially tip the system over into a new dynamic equilibrium, for example from metastable inactivity to a state of directed motility.
Abstract : This paper proposes a new model that predicts the cell voltage dynamics and capacity degradation induced by lithium plating and stripping. The proposed model uses a single equilibrium reaction to describe the deposition and dissolution of metallic lithium, predicting the partial reversibility of the plating/stripping reaction, the characteristic voltage plateau during relaxation, and the capacity loss due to the Loss of Cyclable Lithium (LCL).
