Promise Eze is a Nigerian journalist whose work focuses on social justice issues, conflict, gender Africa’s geopolitics, and climate change. He is also an avid reader.
His work has appeared on global platforms including The Guardian (UK), The Africa Report, African Arguments, Inter Press Service (IPS), Minority Africa, El País, and several others.
He has participated in numerous trainings, workshops, and fellowships, including the prestigious Nigeria Green Academy by Heinrich Böll Stiftung, the Frontline Narrative Fellowship by The Scoop Storytelling Initiative, and a regional health reporting programme by the Thomson Reuters Foundation, where he was one of the few West African journalists selected.
Promise has also received awards and grants. In 2024, he was the sole winner of the Prime Progress Biodiversity Reporting Challenge Grant out of over 70 applicants. He was also a grantee of The Liberalist Centre Governance Lab in June 2025.
