Controlled motion of polar vortex boundary in oxide heterostructures
Abstract Polar vortices in ferroelectric heterostructures hold promise for high-density, energy-efficient nanoelectronics, but their controlled motion remains elusive due to strong pinning and lattice-coupled dynamics. Here, we report real-time observation of vortex boundary motion in PbTiO₃/SrTiO₃ heterostructures using localized trailing electric fields applied via a conductive atomic force microscopy (AFM) tip.

Abstract Ferroelectric materials exhibit a spontaneous electric polarization that can be reversed by an electric field1, a property central to non-volatile memories2,3, sensors4 and actuators5,6. In most conventional ferroelectrics, the polarization originates from a softening of a polar mode7. The amplitude of the mode along a given direction couples with the applied field along the same direction8.

Meta-QTL analysis and identification of candidate genes for multiple-traits associated with spot blotch resistance in bread wheat - Scientific Reports
Abstract In bread wheat, a literature search gave 228 QTLs for six traits, including resistance against spot blotch and the following five other related traits: (i) stay green; (ii) flag leaf senescence; (iii) green leaf area duration; (iv) green leaf area of the main stem; and (v) black point resistance. These QTLs were used for metaQTL (MQTL) analysis.
