An XGBoost-SHAP classifier to distinguish asymptomatic hyperuricemia from acute primary gouty arthritis
Abstract Asymptomatic hyperuricemia (AH) is an important precursor of acute primary gouty arthritis (AGA), but not all patients with AH will progress to acute primary gouty arthritis. Given the limitations of relying solely on uric acid levels to accurately identify AH and AGA, there is an urgent clinical need for an auxiliary identification tool that integrates routine laboratory indicators, possesses discriminative ability, and is easy to interpret.
AdaBoost-based differential diagnosis of gouty arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis: model construction, temporal validation, and SHAP visualization
Abstract Background: The phenotypic overlap between gouty arthritis (GA) and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) poses diagnostic challenges, particularly in resource-limited settings. This study aims to develop a robust, non-invasive machine learning (ML) framework based on routine hematological parameters to facilitate precise differential diagnosis and to evaluate its robustness in a temporally independent cohort.

Effective method for further magnifying the image in holographic projection under divergent light illumination
Abstract Divergent light illumination can effectively increase the diffraction angle of holographic projection. However, the achieved maximum image size is limited to the geometric enlargement of the hologram size with the existing double-sampling Fresnel diffraction algorithm. In this paper, an effective method for further magnifying the image is proposed. The theoretical maximum size under divergent illumination is first analyzed.
