Abstract The high moisture content and strong water-retention properties of sludge are key factors limiting its volume reduction and resource recovery. To improve sludge dewatering efficiency and investigate the effects and possible mechanisms of combined hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)-ultrasound conditioning, this study established a rapid sludge dewatering system utilizing hydrogen peroxide combined with ultrasound.
