1 INTRODUCTION Primary liver cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in the world. According to the global cancer statistics, liver cancer is the sixth most common malignant tumor and the third leading cause of cancer death worldwide in 2020.1 Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most important tissue type, accounting for about 75%–85% of the primary liver cancer.
