Out to Lunch: Welcome to Baltimore, Demarcus Robinson!
We’ve almost made it, Ravens flock! The NFL preseason schedule has officially wrapped up, and in less than two weeks from today we will finally once again be blessed with meaningful football in our lives. With all of the hype and anticipation heading into a year where the Ravens will be champing at the bit to remind people just who they are, it truly couldn’t come soon enough.
Tale of the Tape: Linderbaum Impresses Against Commanders
Cole Jackson Cole Jackson has been an avid follower of the Baltimore Ravens for over a decade. Born and raised in Brockville, Ontario, Canada, Cole’s love for the Ravens was born and bred in following the playing style of Ray Lewis, which he tried to emulate in his own football career, (ultimately failing to do so). Cole graduated from the University of Ottawa with a degree in Criminology before becoming a Policy Analyst with the federal government.
Out to Lunch: Ravens Get New Numbers, Stretches
The Ravens are back in the Castle this week, and it didn’t take long for the news to start rolling in. It’s exciting to see the team back in the beautiful Owings Mills complex, but before seeing them on the field, here are a few number changes to keep in mind heading into the 2022 season: For a more serious update, the franchise did announce changes to its offseason training program.
Russell Street Report Uncle Eddie
I first met Mr. Ed several years ago, a fortunate benefit born out of my friendship with his daughter Debbie and her husband David Ellis. His presence and personality filled the room. A tall, impressively built man, who possessed a strong Irish accent and recited one-liners with the style and ease of Rodney Dangerfield can do that. Mr. Ed could also command one’s attention with a stern look and a quick pivot in the tone of his voice that suggested the mood had changed.
Out to Lunch: Cut by Ravens, Boykin Stays in AFC North
Happy Wednesday, Ravens Flock! We are officially one Wednesday away from the start of the 2022 NFL Draft and if that’s not enough reason for you to get excited than I truly don’t know what will be. Things are getting spicy across the league and the Baltimore Ravens are naturally being thrown into the pot with everything else being stirred up.
Ravens Searching for Healthy Contributors
The Ravens don’t want a repeat of the 2021 season when the roster was eviscerated with injuries. They had 25 players appear on Injured Reserve, which led to an 8-9 record and missing of the playoffs for the first time since 2017. Coach John Harbaugh has pledged the team will change the way they practice and the franchise has hired new personnel to prevent injuries.
Out to Lunch: An AFC North Rival Ascends
Championship Sunday didn’t disappoint, with two more very close games, including yet another overtime thriller at Arrowhead. Let’s quickly catch up on the NFL happenings this morning, before getting back to the team we actually care about around here. In Kansas City, the Chiefs again jumped out to a big lead on the Bengals, just as they did when the teams met in Week 17. The home team lead 21-3 and looked to go up 28-10 just before the half. At worst, they should have been up 24-10.
Continuity is Key
One of the last times Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti spoke to the media, he talked about the importance of continuity. “If you go through the league, the winning teams are the ones that have the least turnover in their front office and their coaching staffs,” Bisciotti said in 2017. “You just don’t turn things over. You guys would be getting a whole lot more juice if you were down in Tampa. You’re missing their press conference. You’d have more to write about.
Championship Sunday Predictions
After a Divisional Weekend where both top seeds were knocked out, it should be no surprise that our picks contest no longer has a perfect entrant. Adam is still atop the leaderboard, however. PRESS CONFERENCE: Ravens Skipper Embraces The Changes to Come
Opening statement: “[It’s] good to see everybody. I appreciate you very much. I’m pretty fired up, excited and ready to go. I’ve been thinking about, just like our players and our coaches do, and probably our fans do, too … All you do is you think every single day, probably more than my [wife], Ingrid, would like for me to, about what we’re doing, where we’re going, what do we need to do? What’s the next step? What’s the best decision and what opportunities are we going to have?
