What was your first job as a journalist?

Nope.
How is social media changing news?
Social Media is making news quick to see and quick to read. I believe it is a fantastic way to disperse information.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
I can't think of one at the moment.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being a journalist means being connected with your community. It means being willing to listen and have a desire to help others.

I haven't seen any funny hashtags.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I use Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud and many social media sites.

Barack Obama, he's the coolest.
Why did you become a journalist?
I love to tell other people's stories and I think being the voice of a community is noble and meaningful work.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
My high school didn't have a newspaper. I tried to start an after-school club, but I could not get an adviser.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I wrote a series on a hit-and-run death in San Luis Obispo. It took a lot of time and hard work to get sources and write a good story.
