Yes, I'm a geriatric millennial. We still had a typewriter through middle school.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email only.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
Anything that involves too many flowery compliments etc. I find that approach disingenuous. I prefer just a straightforward pitch.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Walking my dog.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
The Athletic. I'm obsessed with women's soccer.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That the stories aren't important. Lifestyle might seem fluffy but ultimately it's all about business.
