What was your first job as a journalist?
I was a copy editor for my university's newspaper, and during that time I was able to dip my toes into journalism.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes! I had one growing up and I loved to type my stories on it.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To be a journalist is to be constantly in search of truth and a desire to share powerful words with the world.

Why did you become a journalist?
I love writing, and it makes sense to share my love of words with the world!
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Practice, get feedback, practice more, and get more feedback. Writing is cyclical, not final. It's a constant learning & growing process.
What's your favorite drink?
Iced tea with a little sweetner
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In my home office or backyard with my journal & a good book
