A Comprehensive Evaluation of NIPAM Polymer Gel Dosimeters on Three Orthogonal Planes and Temporal Stability Analysis
Polymer gel dosimeters have been proven useful for dose evaluation in radiotherapy treatments. Previous studies have demonstrated that using a polymer gel dosimeter requires a 24 h reaction time to stabilize and further evaluate the measured dose distribution in two-dimensional dosimetry.
Response to Letter Regarding Article, “Patterns and Implications of Intracranial Arterial Remodeling in Stroke Patients”
We appreciate the opportunity to respond to comments by Gutierrez and Elkind1 about our recent article.2 We think that they misunderstood our imaging-based methodology and would like to offer reasons that might explain their discrepant results.3 The authors assert that plaque burden should be based on intimal area when determining the remodeling threshold.
JAMA Neurology | Peripheral Causes of Cognitive Motor Dissociation in Patients With Vegetative or Minimally Conscious StatePeripheral Causes of Cognitive Motor DissociationLetters
The American Medical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The AMA designates this journal-based CME activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM per course. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Comprehensive Proteomic Analysis of Mesenchymal Stem Cell Exosomes Reveals Modulation of Angiogenesis via NFkB Signaling
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are known to facilitate healing of ischemic tissue related diseases through proangiogenic secretory proteins. Recent studies further show that MSC derived exosomes function as paracrine effectors of angiogenesis, however, the identity of which components of the exosome proteome responsible for this effect remains elusive.
JAMA Network | JAMA Psychiatry | Frontal Glutamate and γ-Aminobutyric Acid Levels and Their Associations With Mismatch Negativity and Digit Sequencing Task Performance in Schizophrenia
Importance Auditory mismatch negativity (MMN) is a biomarker for schizophrenia thought to reflect glutamatergic N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor function and excitatory-inhibitory neurotransmission balance. However, the association of glutamate level with MMN has not been directly examined in patients with schizophrenia, to our knowledge.
