What’s new in PEDOT:PSS thermoelectrics? PEDOT, especially in its doped form like PEDOT:PSS (poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene sulfonate), is highly valuable for thermoelectric applications due to its exceptional properties, including high electrical conductivity, low thermal conductivity, flexibility, and ease of processing. As a soft material, PEDOT:PSS is an excellent choice for flexible and wearable thermoelectric devices.
High performance thermoelectrics from low-cost and abundant CuS/CuI composites Materials with simultaneously excellent electrical conductivity (σ) and high Seebeck coefficient (S) are important for thermoelectric applications. However, obtaining such materials is a difficult task as σ and S vary inversely with respect to each other. Here, a new fabrication process has been demonstrated that produces composite materials with desired properties.
