Signaling lipids are a diverse group of molecules that have recently garnered significant attention due to their essential roles in various physiological and pathological processes. (1−7) These lipids exhibit remarkable chemical diversity and are synthesized in response to different stimuli, with glycero(phospho)lipids and sphingolipids serving as the precursors for most signaling lipids, (8−10) including oxylipins, lysoglycerophospholipids, and endocannabinoids.
