Ramat Aliyu’s Biography
Asides amassing knowledge, building expertise and proficiency not only in the communications and information sector, Ramat Aliyu is a writer, a humanitarian and content developer who has continued to strive, changing narratives through diverse skills in writing, social volunteering and initiatives.
As a graduate of Mass Communication from Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai, Ramat Aliyu is a senior editor at Ybtc media productions. A media conglomerate which includes Ybtc news, Ybtc news Yoruba, Rmtimesng and Nassvoices. Ramat Aliyu is also a graduate from Formazione business school, Abuja where she obtained a Professional Diploma in Project Management, Human Resource Management, and Health Safety and Environment (HSE level 1, 2 and 3)
She is a volunteer for Al-Imran Islamic Foundation, a non- governmental Islamic organisation established in 2014 with the goal to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and alleviate problems faced by Muslim ummah (community) in the Northern part of Nigeria and the world at large aa well as promoting religious tolerance through dialogue and other initiatives. As a volunteer, she has contributed immensely to empowerment programmes for the Muslim community and IDP intervention programs which help feed fasting Muslims in camps for internally displaced persons in Abuja during Ramadan as well as promoting the course of donating Food, Clothing, Shelter and Education for the Muslim needy.
She recently completed her training as a Peace Ambassador under the "Bridge Peace Project" by the Center for Equality and Equity (CEE) in collaboration with the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID).
She is, the Head of Planning, Research & Policy for Youth Advocacy Network (YAN), a youth development initiative and advocacy network.
Ramat Aliyu was born on the 12th of July 1996 and an indigene of Niger State, Nigeria.
