Why did you become a journalist?

I became a journalist because I am obsessively devoted to researching and discovering truth.

11 am on a weekday.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

When I was asked to do a story on the preservation of a Black segregation-era school in Arkansas.

What's your favorite drink?

Iced coffee w/oat milk

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Watching the news curled up with my cat in front of the TV.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That politicians are inherently crooked or evil. The shades of gray have been lost.
