Battle Arena Toshinden 2
Battle Arena Toshinden 2 is the first sequel to Battle Arena Toshinden. It adds three new starting fighters; Tracy and Chaos with the original game's final boss, Gaia returning un-armoured and with a completely new move set. There are also three new bosses and hidden characters raising the total number of fighters to 15 (up from 10).
Onimusha: Warlords
The Good I lost my count on how many times Capcom managed to slap me for not believing in their products. So far, I lost every ace up my sleeve for betting against them. It is only a matter of time when I'll be getting their game I don't trust too much to regret for not having it tried earlier. First they did that with Resident Evil 2 which turned the fire on. Then with Code: Veronica they showed me they can not only make a horror-survival game with an action, but with a story as well.
Soul Blade (1996) - MobyGames
Players Average score: 3.9 out of 5 (based on 49 ratings with 2 reviews) A fun, yet unrealistic, sword fighting game. The Good The game was released in the early Playstation Era, a time when all Playstation graphics lacked in quality. Soul Blade, however, still manages to have some of the best graphics, even better than some of the later Playstation games. There are so many modes built into this game, and the storyline is excellent.
Kessen (2000) - MobyGames
The Good When I bought this game, just a little over a month ago, I didn't know what I was letting myself into. But the price was cutted to half comparing to other games on the shelves so I had no choice but to take it. "From what I saw in Kessn II's commercials, this is a full 3D real-time strategy, and I'm most certainly to like it." is what I kept saying myself not to get discouraged to purchase it, but I did, and hesitation wasn't active not for a split-second.
Giants: Citizen Kabuto
On a far away planet, three races fight for control of the few landmasses available: the marooned Meccs, who specialize in firearms and other things that go boom, the mystical and cold-blooded Reapers, who were the original inhabitants of the planet, but were forced to live in the sea by Kabuto, the third character; a truly gigantic monster with a ravenous appetite and a fondness for performing wrestling maneuvers on those the size of his hand.
Riddle of the Sphinx: An Egyptian Adventure
The Good The whole concept of searching through the sphinx and the ruins of ancient Egypt is fantastic! This game had a great storyline and the potential to be a great game! I would rate the intro movie as one of the best intro's of all TIME! The Bad As a Mobygames reviewer I had approved the other review of this game. When reading the review I became very excited because I saw a chance to have another great adventure experience. However my experience was a little different.
Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins
Tenchu 2 is a prequel to Tenchu, telling a tale of events prior to those of the previous game. Once again, you can play as Ayame or Rikimaru, two faithful and honorable ninja whose lord is a gentle man in an age of warfare. With your training nearly complete, you find yourself caught up in aiding your lord against a civil war in his own domain. All is not what it seems, however, and you'll soon realize that your greatest threat has been forged much like you.
Hitman: Codename 47
The Good While there is a wide range of weapons available to you in this game, it's hardly a "shooter" - your path to success is paved with stealth, sharp observation, and careful planning. It's even more of a "sneaker" than the Thief series. Enemies will watch you constantly, and if they study you long enough, they will remember you. If you do anything suspicious while they're watching (like, simply drawing a weapon, or killing someone) they will attack you, or run off to alert other enemies.
Dynasty Warriors 6
The sixth main game in the long running Dynasty Warriors series (or fifth if one goes by the original Japanese naming scheme) once again allows the player to take a legendary hero from the quasi-historical novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" into battle against thousands of enemy peons. The player needs to battle his way through numerous battlefields, capturing forts and succeeding in objectives in order to bring about victory for his faction.
The Operative: No One Lives Forever
The Good NOLF is a very fun, highly engaging first person shooter. Essentially, NOLF is a Bond parody, much in the same vein as Austin Powers, Casino Royale, Flint etc. The main character, Cate Archer, is a spy in training who is thrust into the thick of things early on. Accompanied by some fellow agents, well supplied by Santa (NOLF's version of Bond's Q), and directed by Mr. Jones and Mr. Smith, Archer uncovers a plot that threatens the world. Would you expect anything less?
James Clavell's Shogun
The Good This game is based on James Clavell's famous novel: Shogun (which I was a big fan of the mini-series). Arigato Bakero-San. This is a funny old little game as it's probably the only one of its kind, this refers to the game perspective and overall gameplay. The game obviously defies any law of gravity, as there doesn't seem to be any.
