Have you ever used a typewriter?

As a kid. To play with.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

In the real world, an iPhone, a tape recorder and a curious mind. In the virtual world, all manner of social media, google, lexis, excel.

Why did you become a journalist?

Because my parents, grandparents and people where I grew up were storytellers. They gave me the bug to do it too.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

What's the best pitch you ever got?

The daughter of convicted fraudster who led a millionaire lifestyle with other people's money called and offered me her store.

What's your favorite drink?

Orange juice.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Reading a book. Working in my garden.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

The New York Times.
